What is sports massage therapy?

Sports massage therapy is a targeted form of bodywork focused on improving athletic performance, reducing muscle tension, increasing mobility, and accelerating recovery from training or injury. It combines deep tissue work, stretching, and movement-based techniques.

Do I have to be an athlete to get a sports massage?

Not at all. While it is called sports massage, anyone who experiences muscle tightness, pain, stress, or movement restrictions can benefit. The name refers to the technique, not who it is for.

What conditions do you treat?

Common conditions include runner's knee, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, low back pain, neck and shoulder tension, hip tightness, rotator cuff pain, post-workout soreness, mobility restrictions, and post-operative range of motion.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not bill insurance directly. We are a cash-based performance and recovery wellness center. HSA and FSA cards may be accepted.

What should I do before my appointment?

Drink water beforehand, wear comfortable athletic clothing, and avoid intense workouts right before your session if possible.

How often should I come in for sports massage?

It depends on your goals and how your body responds. After your first session you will get an honest recommendation on what frequency will actually help you.

How do the sauna and cold plunge work with massage?

They are add-ons available alongside your massage at an additional charge. The sauna loosens and warms tissue before treatment or deepens relaxation after. The cold plunge reduces inflammation and flushes metabolic waste post-massage.
